Our family is committed to providing an environment that is dedicated to growing your child's love for learning.

In many ways, this original painting tells the story of PRIDE. After Julaina Wallace re-purchased the school in 2012 (more about that later), her son, Harrison, painted this work as a representation of the school and its ideals. We believe that to create a PRIDE takes, family, love, trust, faith, courage, intregity, honesty, laughter and learning.

The Pride Story began in 1998 when Julaina Wallace saw a need for a private Christian preschool and academy that was focused on the needs of the child. That year, Julaina, her husband Curtis and a few partners started Cornerstone Learning Centers, opening locations in Grapevine (where the current Pride Academy is located) and Flower Mound, Texas. Cornerstone Learning Center's schools were eventually sold to a large corporate child care company. For several years, Julaina continued as the Director of Cornerstone Learning Center in Grapevine. Then, after a brief "retirement" in 2012, Julaina purchased the Grapevine location of Cornerstone Learning Center and PRIDE was born.

Today, Pride Academy is a true family business. All of Curtis and Julaina's four children grew up in the school. Jackson Wallace, a 2015 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, is in charge of Pride's Summer Camp Program. Harrison Wallace, a student at Chapman University puts on art and filmmaking enrichment programs when he is home from school. Carter, a high-school junior, and Caroline, a 5th grader, both attended the school through the 4th grade and can frequently be seen helping out at Pride. Ih short, Pride Academy is simply a reflection of what Curtis and Julaina wanted for their own children - to give them the best possible start in life.

Since starting Pride in 2012, we have consistently invested in the school - in our facility, in our people and in our programs - all in an ongoing effort to create the kind of school that we want for our own children. Today, we believe that Pride meets this goal by delivering a great learning environment where a paasionate dedicated family of teachers implement superior educational program.

We invite you to visit Pride Academy and Preschool, anytime, for a tour or to talk with Julaina about whether we are the right fit for you and your children.
